Just when you think

that you have a handle on all your Christmas cards for the year, you get a request to make some for someone else.
I had made a card for Dans mother and father's anniversary,Oct 1st, and a card for his mom as that day was also her birthday. (Dan was going out to buy their cards, then left it too late), sooooooo... I thought I'd make them. They were last minute cards, so sorry no pics.

Anyway, Dan took them over with their presents, and before he got back home I got a call. They were thrilled with the cards and wanted to ask me if I would make them some cards for Christmas.
The conversation was totally forgotten (by me anyway), But today we went to his sister's house for Thanksgiving dinner and they asked if I had made any cards for them yet.
Are you getting the drift of where this is going yet?

I was totally shocked at first, then I thought they were just kidding me, then when they convinced me they were serious, I went into panic mode.

So I guess that's what I'll be doing for a bit longer now.
Whew! This feels funny venting on here, so thanks for listening.

These cards are not one I made for them , just some of the last few I have been doing lately.
I watercolored this little guy on clear vellum.

This cute fairy is from www.faeriesong.com
I cut out her wings and backed them with some pretty blue and silver ribbon.

I attempted a shaker box here. I have tried these before, and they never worked, this one is no different. Well, I didn't make it deep enough so those yummy snowflakes (yummy, because they are cake decorations, and boy do they smell good) can move around properly. Although a few do shake. LOL
I sprinkled purlex all over the card, so it's really nice and shimery.

Frosty here really needs not explanation. I did him with my prisma color markers, added that same blue and silver ribbon I mentioned on the fairy's wings, and all done.

Dear Tonniece aka one woman factory card,

Wellll .... your cards are fabulous! No wonder people want you to make them their cards. I wish I have a son named Dan with a partner named Tonniece who makes pretty cards, so I can put in my order too. (Hehehe).

*I love the naughty card. Especially after eating a big slice of chocolate cake ... ;)

Wow, you are going to be busy for a while to come! How many cards do you need to make? I can see why they would want some though - they are really cute!

Miss Luci????

Hi there, good to see my LS again, it's been way too long.
You are too sweet, but thank you, if I wasn't so slow these days, I'd for sure count you as Haveing a son named Dan.......etc, etc, etc. LOL

Nola

That is a good question, as they didn't say how many they wanted. I was just going to do a few more , and do a few copies of ones already done and take them over to peruse. I figure since he said he'd take a box of cards (sigh) that the boxes come in 6, 8, 12, and more, I'd try for the 8?
Fingers crossed that that will be enough for them. Ha ha ha

Dianne

Thanks Di. I'm more worried about them likeing the ones I do take over.
As for compensation......... Next time, maybe, family is family after all, I think I'd feel like a horses patootie if I took money from them.
