Old memorie are new again

I was cleaning out my spare room so I could pack and throw away things last night and came across an old and ragged card I had recieved from my sister years ago. The date wasn't even ledgeable anymore. As I was about to toss it out, (something that tears at my heartstrings as all the boxes of old cards in here would attest to) I noticed there was a tiny image on the back that was the same as the worn out card front.
This reminded me of a stamp I have and have never used, so needless to say cleaning was the last thing on my mind at this point, and I dug through my stamps and inked it up.

I am happy I did because I actually Like this card. Then I even dressed up the envelope by stamping in bleach, AND IT WORKED. I stamped the image on some paper I had colored with watered down water color paints, then embossed with Rainbow sparkle embossing powder. Matted that on SU glossy white cs. Using my clear ruler I ran beads of my embossing pen to create a border around the image and sprinkled the ep on that.
Yummy glitter. Added the ribbon and adhered it with ribbon glue. All done.

Ok there is as always a punch line here. As I was about to take a photo I noticed the mark on my ribbon, drat, but too late now it was all gluded down.

Supplies: rainbow sparkles embossing powder, bleach, may arts ribbon

Giggles and I

Giggles and I want to wish all our American friends a very Happy Thanksgiving

Is she too cute or what. I don't even know where I got her and her little mate - yup there is a Mr. giggles too, and there is no name on them as to who makes them, but I do know as soon as I saw them I had to have them. They are so darn ugly they are cute.

I was sitting here and getting bored and tired so I thought I would play a bit. I wanted to try my gesso again with some inks, and a dash of glitter spray on a scrap piece of paper.
What a mess, but oh what fun. I really liked the end result so I thought I would throw card together.

Now this is smaller then a card and bigger then a tag, so I'm not sure what to call it except just a silly tired Tonniece creation. LOL

Dosen't she make you giggles though? Ok I really am getting silly, i guess i'd better pack it in for today.

"B" Day remake

Happy Friday everyone

Well a day later then I promised, but here it is. Debbie's new birthday card.

The inspiration for this card came from Linda at http://lindaduke.typepad.com . She is doing a set of 12 cards that are all monochromatic and OH SO STUNNING, but then ALL HER CARDS ARE. Hop on over, you won't be disappointed I promise you.

That great stamp is called "Monique" and can be purchesed at http://www.rubbernecker.com/ , and the sister stamp is by www.paperinspirations.com and purchased from http://www.stampart.ca here in London Ontario. There is a phrase that goes down the backside of it that I put on the inside of the card along with a few words from me. Sorry, no picture of inside and it's sealed now. The scallop is my new MS punch, LOVE IT.
I water colored the image with the same blue in three different strengths to make the layered dress pop, then added the bling www.tayloredexpressions.com to every tip of the layers and to the tips of each scallop also.
Can't forget the stickles and a dash of shimmer paint.
The skin tone is so different IRL, don't know why it looks so orangy here. I used a new flesh tone water color pencil here.

Well I hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy you weekend.

"B"Day Card?

I know I have been MIA latley but I have been so swamped with the packing and Reno's that I just want to SCREAM.

For those of you that have been checking in to see if I'm still alive.
I AM, but just barely lol

I started this card a few weeks ago and have changed it, hummmm, about 15 times since then. And I must tell you that it looks nothing like this now. In fact most of it is in the waste bucket now. Why post it then you ask?
Well because I have not made a replacement card for it yet and I had the pic of it already so HERE IT IS/WAS.
The big problem here is that I only have till FRIDAY to do just that. You see it was suposed to be my sisters Birthday card, BUUUUT In my infinit wisdom or lack there of I kept changeing this one and now there is no card for Debbie. Oh my, what's a girl to do.

So I took this time out from the packing and all the crappy stuff that goes with it to hopefully get a few cards done and visit all my blogg'in buddies. But that will have to wait till tomorrow now cause boy am I tired, SHEESH, I tell you I am getting old, it's not quite 9PM here and I am so ready for bed.

So Thanks for stopping by, I am off to dreamland now and hopefully I will have something to post tomorrow.

Lovely Surprise

Hi All
Although I did get a few cards done I wanted to show you the lovely surprise I recieved from my lifelong friend Dianne, http://magpiesenvy.blogspot.com
Last week after a much needed break from packing, Dianne, Jan and I went to Michaels, I mean after all what's more fun then a shopping break, and on our arrival home she very matter of factly handed me this Journal. I was thrilled and totally surprised to say the least.
Just check out the texture and detail, just Awesome.
You can view this beauty on her blog , Link above, and many other of her stunning creations.

Thank You so much Dianne I will treasure it always.

On another note, I will try to get my cards posted later today, and hopefully get in some time to visit all your wonderful blogs.

Well back to the grind, grrrrrr lol

Thanks for taking the time to stop by

Hi everyone, I have nothing to share with you today, in fact all this week. I am trying to get my house all sorted out and doing a lot of packing and throwing out.
Yes we are moving, finally........ mind you not till the end of Dec. (PERISH THE THOUGHT), but it takes me forever to get things done with this bum leg of mine. It feels like I am getting nothing done with all the frequent rests I have to take, but we are getting there.
Dan will be gradually taking things over to the new house in a week or two, as there are Reno's going on at present, and the movers have changed their date twice now due to it being smack dab in the holiday season. Not the best time of year to move.

Anyway, just taking a min. to let you all know I am still here, and will be dropping by for quick hello's as I have my little rest stops.LOL

This card features a http://www.whiffofjoy.com/ Image.

I found this site today http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.com
from Enfy's blog http://going-buggy.blogspot.com/ and thought this card fit right in with their challenge to make a card with no traditional colors.

I stamped her 2x, one on water color pp, the other on whisper White. I think I will go over her with my H2O's , (so much for my Tip in the earlier post. I am testing myself i guess.lol)

After it was colored I cut her and misic out and adhered her to the Whisper white cs and that to the pink cs.
Paterened pp is from the Euphoria Paper pad by Memory Box. All was adhered to the pink cs base.
I almost forgot to mention I added the cotton to her scarf and hat, and a tiny silver star I had laying around. I fit too perfect on her star chain.

Helping Angel

This Whiff Of Joy Angel designed by Elisabeth Bell, is so helpfull, not to mention so adorable. I love the fact that she does dishes because that is a chore not to my liking.

As soon as she arrived in the mail I had to ink her up, mind you that was a week or two ago, oops... lol
I used my woodless pencils, purchased at a craft store downtown, to color her in then I stamped her again and after mounting them together leaving her wings and the bottom corners of her apron free, I cut them out leaving a slight white Margin around the whole image. I then restamped the plate and towel and adhered them with pop dots, curled the hem of her apron and the tips of her wings then layered that on top of the swiss dot oval.

The pp's I used are just loose 12 by 12 sheets from Michaels, sorry can't remember the name right now as they are scraps from pieces i used before. I punched a few dots from the green pp and added them to the dot pp then added the ribbon and the cute yellow bow to her hair.
The sentiment was a gift from Dianne http://magpiesenvy.blogspot.com and is the red rubber, soooo it was a bit hard to bend it so it would wrap around the bottom even after I seperated it, but it fit the image I went for it.

That's it for today

Christmas cutie

Again not a great pic DARN IT , but I lightened it up on one here so you could see the memorybox pp It's so yummy with all the gold flecks running through it.
This sweet image is from Heather's http://www.faeriesong.com/ new sheet of stamps, and every single one is too cute for words.

I stamped it on watercolor pp and used my H2O's to color her. I used glossy accents on the berries, and her chocker.
On the blue ribbon, a Michael's find, I colored a red and green stripe to match the pp and Gold embossed the sentiment.

Oh... and don't ya just LOOOOVVVEEE my sewing job? LOL
I really must invest in a sewing m/c cause that hand stitching is Kind-Of-A-Drag not to mention quite messy.

The rest is pretty splanatory, right Lucy?

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by

Another Christmas card done

Well I have a few more Christmas cards done, yeah.
Sorry for the bad photo, but could not get it right for some reason.

I have a few options for a sentiment on this one, but will wait till I decide who it's going to.
The bird is one of five from the set 'Winter Birds' by Inkadinkado and purchased from
Sheila at http://www.scrappingreatdeals.com/

I stamped it on Whisper white cs with black StazOn, sponged around it with Rangers Distress Ink
' weathered Wood' then cut it out leaving the tips of the feathers out so they would look fluffed out. Added stickles to to his body to add some sparkle, not too visible here, but it is really blingy IRL.
The blue and silver stars are Martha Stewart glitter stickers that I bought last year on a Christmas shopping spree with my buddies Sue and Diane. Can you imagine, I forgot them till the other day.
Anyhoooo, I mounted that on watercolor paper I gave a wash to, added the black stones to each corner. And that's all she wrote, pretty Easy Peasy.

To all my Canadian blogging buddies HAPPY THANKS GIVING
And to everyone else I hope you had a wonderful weekend and an even better week ahead.

Thanks for stopping by and making my day

Monster Mummy?

I totally forgot to make and post Nolan's http://fred-she-said.blogspot.com/ 2nd Monster card.
Since it is almost Halloween, I thought I'd make him a Monster Mummy..a really hungry Mummy by the looks of him. he has only one bite left of his candy corn. And he is so full he has blue bloodshot eyes.

I sketched and cut out the fence behind him, added a handle and popped it up. I gave him a wild hairdo too with some fancy threads, don't he look sweet? I replaced the flower stem with his handwritten sign and the same fancy threads.
His eyes are punched out from the Glitter mat Stack cs I used behind him , and the purple cs was run through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder then sanded. His candy corn was punched with my Stampin' Up scalloped oval punch.

Oh and his legs are from one of the cute 'Nellie and Luca Halloween collection' stamps I just got. That's about it

Thnaks for stopping by today

I did this card a few days ago with a new stamp set from www.scrappingreatdeals.com
called Winter Birds.
I used a corner punch from Stampin Up to get the scalloped edge on the bottom.
by removing the gaurd, then added the bling.
I lightly sprayed the white cs with glitter spray , hard to see in the pic, after stamping and
embossing the bird with gold embossing powder.
I layered that onto gold cs then distressed the edges, layered that onto red cs.
All design paper is from Memory Box.

I did a challenge

The challenge this week on the Sarah Kay blog http://sarahkaychallenges.blogspot.com is purple and green.

Ok I didn't do it for the challenge this week , because I already had it done, but I said what the heck, the colors are right
so if it counts, here is my first challenge.

The background pp is from DCWV paper pack called The Far East Stack. Sorry I've had it so long I forget where i bought it.

I cut out a Large circle from doublesided cs I got at Micheals last summer, cut it in half, then hand stitched the reverse sides
down with this awesome multicolored plastic thread My friend Dianne at http://magpiesenvy.blogspot.com bought me a while ago.
and added Taylor's tiny twinkles http://tayloredexpressions.com

I then took some silk flowers I had and dyed them green and purple, and added a die chip dot.
Image was water colored then mounted to my punched out ovals.
Oh yes, the larger oval was done with the swiss dots cuttlebug folder

Have a wonderful Sunday all

Sarah Kay

Here's another sarah Kay card. I did this one awhile ago too, actually, Idid quite a few of them.
I just love her stamps and now that I own several of them I had to ink them up.

Again no sentiment till I know who it's going to.
I did a design on the card base but didn't like it, so I covered it up with the white cs which I ran through
my crimper. On that I stamped with Versa mark, then rubbed chalks in yellow, blue and dark pink,
added the lace from an old slip i had torn apart, stamped the butterflies and added stickles to them/The image is
done with water color pencils.

Simple Christmas card

It's going to be here sooner then we think.
Christmas is just around the corner, if time passes as quickly as it did this summer (which will be too soon for me).
So I did this easy peasy card, with the new cuttlebug folder, added lots of stickles to the falling snow,
and rooftops. The sentiment was stamped in Versa mark, then black StazOn, added clear embossing powder then set with heatgun.

oh, and a soft gold dusting was added to the stickles on the rooftops to add that little touch of shimmer.
I tried to get a good picture, hope you can see it.

Hope you all had a fantastic day

Last Xmas

I did this card, but I really didn't like it so never posted it.
But I'm getting a bit braver and I'm thinking what the hay, I did it , so post it.
Don't get me wrong, I still really hate it but how else does one learn or get critiqued if one doesn't show it.
So critique away, but be kind, cause i'm sensitive. (just kidding)
It was my first and last attempt at embossing metal and I even tried a bit of ink rubbing on it.
WOOHOO.....................LOL

Have a sunny Thursday

I got a bit carried away

when I saw Mel's http://melstampz.blogspot.com idea for her short ribbons, I got it in my head to do the same thing.
But I think I should not have done it late at night and while I was tired.
I'm thinking I might have gotten a little carried away.
Although I think it looks pretty kewl, I'm think'in it's not really very good if I actually need to use any of that ribbon.
I was so tired that I even gave it a little. Can you see it? LOL
Oh well,I tried.
Anyhoo, I did this card while I was computerless, ????
I sure hope your moniters are showing how deep the colors are, because I'm
haveing a dickens of a time trying to get my resolution right on this thing. It's looking
really washed out on here, when in fact IRL it is rather dark.
And looking at it now I think I'll need to put a larger gem on the huge flower, It's looking a little lost there.
But don't ya just love that Sarah Kay stamp? All of her stamps are so darn cute.

Well that's it for today folks. Hope you have a super wonderful day.

Girls of the world

by Allison at http://stampinwhenican.blogspot.com/
Allison generously shared these cute girls and boys (not shown here) in a download file.

I did these for my granddaughter a while back, and just gave them to her last weekend.
she loves stickers, I guess you could say she is a sticker addict, so I made them stickers for her.
I wish I had taken off the front cello paper so you could see how shimmery and bright they all are,

I used my Twinkling H2o's and they look so rich and yummy thanks to Maria's http://stampininspirations.blogspot.com/ great tutorial.
These are just a few of them.
I think I did all of them twice in the boys and girls of the world sets, one complete set
I coloured in and left the second set plain, I just ran them through my Xron 250 so she could colour them herself.

second post today and a 5 min card?

yup I did this in 5 mjns. with the first stamp set at my finger tip and leftover scraps on my desk.
Now I know it's all smudged, but I did it up, put it in the envelope still wet, then forgot i didn't sign it, BUT it was a VERY rush job after all and then out the door.
Danny was talking to a friend who mentioned that he was ready to pull all his hair out because
they were haveing a birthday pool party for their 6 yr old daughter, and only one little girl showed up.
Needless to say she was a shattered little girl especially since 10 parents RSVPed their kids would be there.

Danny said he would see if he could get his granddaughter, and if so that we would bring her there. As luck would have it, it had to be 100degrees out there yesterday. No jokeing
mission 1 - get granddaughter - accomplished with a bonus of another friends 14 yr. old who volunteered to come and entertain them.
mission 2 - a card (hence this 5 min. mess)

As he was going out the door he turned and gave me this look that stopped me in my tracks, and calmly asks."well are you going to take a picture so we can get going?"
mission 3 - picture hastily taken (sorry for the bad pic)

And last but not least
mission 4 - two more little ones finally showed up, and Brandy the 14 yr. old kept them so busy that I don't think the birthday girl cared that there were only the 4 of them, they all had a blast.

And that was my Sat., how was yours? Hope it was fab.
