Hi All I'm still here
I have been visiting many, many blogs, and enjoying all the eye candy, great stories, and personal views on varied subjects ranging from crafts to politicts. (Boy this little box sure makes the world seem so much smaller).
Anywho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am trying to decide just where my real and true interests lie.
In visiting textile blogs, I find I light right up when I see how takeing one piece of nothing material turns into a beautiful piece of art or clothing. So I start to think I'd love to do that (now please keep in mind I could not sew a straight stitch if my life depended on it).
I do love to draw, I find it calming, but I'd like to take a course or something to improve, and get into the artist paints on canvass. We can all use a little improvement in something, don't you think?
Then there's cardmakeing............. I must say, I have seem some really awesome cardmakeing here in blogland, and I'm not too sure that's the way to go for me. I have ordered lots of punches and stamps though, so I guess I'd better do something with them. LOL
After an overall assessment of my interests, I am still in a quandary as to how to proceed. To quote a phrase from a blog I visited, "I've lost My MOJO"
In saying this, if there are long periods of inactivity here on my blog, that is the reason.
I am still watching yours though, so stay on your toes. LOL
If you scroll down you'll see my latest drawing, of wich I am not too thrilled with but there you have it.
Have a great Day

My surprise
This beautiful box was staring me in the face, which stunned and amazed me, and then when I opened it, this treasure was inside. The spine are chopsticks she brought back from the Floating Market in Bangkok, and the box was just to protect the book on it's travells to me. IMAGINE!! There was also a beautiful card inside, but try as I might, I couldn't get it in focus enough.
These pictures do not do them the justice they deserve.
what with this darn camera of mine GRRRRR. The wormanship and the colors, and all the pockets to hold special things. I LOVE IT. Believe me when I say that it is stunning.
Thank you so much Carol, I now have something from you to treasure always. And so you know, yes we are both taureans, which was another pleasant surprise.
Hugs

What planet should you rule?
I should rule Jupiter
Huge and hot, Jupiter is a quickly turning planet with short days and intense gravity.
I am perfect to rule Jupiter because I am both dominant and kind.
I have a great strength and confidence, but I never abuse my power.
I am always right. Even if I make mistakes, I compensate for them.... before anyone knows it.
I'm headstrong and ambitious, I always have a goal in mind.
I am optimistic and believe that things will always work out.
WHEW!!!!! I wish I'd thought of all this to say about myself first .LOL
What Planet should you rule?????????
Oh and as a side note, I'm hopeing to be able to show you all something stunning that the postman delivered to me yesterday from a special lady.
Keep watching, you'll love it too.
Have a great Day

For Sandy
This card instead. I did the Iris fold on the purse, then beaded the fringes and the handle, and the clasp.
I have been trying to get this to her since her "B" Day at the begining of Jan.
So I am happy to say she finally got it.
Why you ask did it take so long to get to her? Well believe it or not it was the post office at fault. (Now can you believe that, the posties makeing a boo booo?)
I sent it off with more than enough postage, but to my dismay it was returned to me saying there wa not enough. And I might add they plastered a huge sticker over the address.
So I put it in another (larger envelope) added more postage and took it to the post office where the woman looked at it and went to drop it in the slot. I stopped her and told her to please weigh it as it had already been returned once. She looked at it and again said it was good to go.
I was to say the least upset, but figurd she knew best (although knowing in my heart of hearts it would be sent back yet again).
Well guess what....................................................................... It was returned AGAIN. Yup it was.
I was way too upset to go back, so I sent Danny. The same woman was there and was going to just repost it when Danny lost it on her and told her to please look at the postage AND the other sticker plastered on ADDRESS address before she let it go.
I believe he might have uttered pretty much close to death threats, knowing that when he came home it had best not be returned. LOL
so she looked,
And you'll never guess what the problem was from the beginning. The stupid #@^& was not seeing the UK on the addy, just the cambridge.
NOW I know they are way overpaid.
Anyway she has it now. Not too sure what shape it's in after all the travelling it did though.
Dressing up
THANK YOU DIANNE
In addition to that Dianne brought her camera, so I can post a few of my cards, and drawing for you.
These two are just a different variation of the same stamp. I never realised that I used blue in both till now. Anyway.
This one I stamped right on the card. I used a border stamp down the side, I add a dark blue c/s to the bottom with three bands of textured paper in a lighter blue, and with the pieces punched from that stamp I adhered them to the bottom, and added the ribbon.
On this card I stampped the image on cream c/s and watercolored this one, then added this to a darker cream c/s. I then afixed a ribbon that blended all the colors together.
The base of the card I drew and water painted all the blue dots, added a mocha paper to bottom and the same matching ribbon, then stampped Let's party.
Same stamp two different looks.
